- Eliza Stankovic had not broken two minutes for the 800m wheelchair event prior to travelling to the IPC World Championships and Commonwealth games. Her first round performance of 1:53.29 in Manchester is faster than the winning time at the following major 800m wheelchair races: 2002 IPC World Championships, 2001 IAAF World Championships (exhibition event), 1996 and 2000 Olympics (exhibition event) and 2000 Paralympics. She has only been in competing in a wheelchair for 13 months.
